THE INN AT ZACA CREEK LODGING POLICIES
Zaca Creek values every guest and reservation. Please read these important policies. By receiving them, you agree to follow them and understand their content.
Check-In
Check-in is at The Tavern, our restaurant in the same building as The Inn. Enter through the front gates into The Tavern. A valid ID and credit card are required when booking online for any extras.
Cancellation Policy (Direct Bookings)
For standard rates, please email RESERVATIONS@ZACA-CREEK.COM at least 5 days before your arrival to cancel. We do not accept cancellations by phone. If you cancel less than 5 days before, shorten your stay, or leave early, you must pay for your whole reservation. We will try to reschedule your stay if possible.
Note: Whole house bookings and some holidays/special events need a 30-day cancellation notice.
Rates and policies may change during busy times or special requests.
Cancellation Policy (Third-Party Bookings)
Reservations made through third-party sites like Booking.com, Expedia, etc., are non-refundable and may be charged in full at booking. If you must cancel within 24 hours of booking, please email us as soon as possible.
Security Deposit
Credit Card: A $150 hold is placed for incidentals and refunded within 3-7 business days after checkout, minus any charges.
Debit Card: A $250 hold is placed and refunded similarly after checkout.
Cash: A $500 deposit on a credit card is required for incidentals, returned after checkout under the same rules.
Staff Availability
Staff are on-site:
Thursday to Monday: 2 PM - 10 PM
Tuesday & Wednesday: 2 PM - 8 PM
For arrivals outside these times, email reservations@zaca-creek.com to arrange check-in. Holiday and event hours may vary; please ask for details.
Check-Out
Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Late check-out after 11:30 AM costs $50. To check out, email or call (805) 688-2412; no need to visit the front desk. For a receipt, email your request.
No Smoking
Zaca Creek is a smoke-free property. Smoking inside rooms is not allowed. A $500 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking or any flammable items like incense, candles, or similar are found inside. Cigarettes, cigars, and vaping are banned inside rooms and on the walkway outside the rooms.
Pet Policy
Zaca Creek welcomes small and medium dogs that are house-trained and quiet. Please notify us before arrival if you bring a dog. A $50 fee applies for the first dog, $25 for the second, per stay. Maximum two pets per room. Pets cannot be left alone in the suites. A pet agreement must be signed on arrival. Only well-behaved dogs are allowed on the Tavern Patio; no dogs inside the Tavern except ADA service animals. Pets must be leashed or held on the property. Undisclosed pets at check-in will result in a pet fee taken from your deposit.
ADA service animals are free but must follow pet rules. Emotional support animals are charged the pet fee.
ADA Policies
Suite 2 is ADA accessible, and The Tavern offers ADA seating. Contact us before arrival if you need an accessible suite.
Gift Certificate Policies
Present gift certificates and a valid ID at check-in. Certificates are transferable and can be used until expiration but cannot be exchanged for cash. Remaining balances carry over for future use.
THE FALLS and POOL AREA POLICY
The Falls & Pool will be closed until further notice.
During your stay, you’re welcome to use our outdoor pool area, The Falls, behind the Buellhouse. Enter through the gate to access the pool and cabanas. Please be respectful—loud music or noise is not allowed to avoid disturbing neighbors. The pool area closes at 10pm, no exceptions. Each room booking allows up to 4 extra guests. We reserve the right to limit access if needed.
GLASS AT THE FALLS
No glass is allowed at The Falls. Violating this will result in removal and a full pool cleaning fee. Plastic cups are provided in your room. For more, email reservations@zaca-creek.com.
GUESTS AT THE FALLS
Each suite allows up to 4 guests. Sometimes events may restrict access; we will notify you in advance. No outside guests or parties are allowed without prior approval. No lifeguard is on duty. Please leave the area clean and glass-free.
OTHER RULES
No candles, incense, or vaping in the suites. Damages from these will incur cleaning fees based on severity. Policies may change; contact us for details.
